Red alert in parts of Jaén province

AEMET has activated a red alert in Morena, Condado and the Valle del Guadalquivir in Jaén province, temperatures expected to reach 44 degrees.

The bad weather has been causing problems throughout Andalucía. In Villamartín, a 73 year old man drowned after his car left the bridge over the río Guadalete, the second fatality in the region as a result of the bad weather.
