Funds for School Workshop ‘Nerja Sierra Mar’ now received

The Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, has announced that the Junta de Andalucia has finally transferred the fifty per cent funding for the School Workshop ‘Nerja Sierra Mar’. This workshop and the Employment Workshop ‘Acueducto del Águila’ were requested in January 2011 and approved by the Junta de Andalucia in December 2011, according to the Mayor.

Council to request two more workshops

The Council is st to present, and obviously approve, two motions relating to an employment workshop and a school workshop, despite the fact that the Junta de Andalucia has failed to provide the funds for two similar workshops apparently agreed in 2011.

The Council is once again asking the Junta de Andalucia to hand over €1,528,407.80 to launch the Employment Workshop ‘Acueducto del Águila’  and the School Workshop ‘Nerja Sierramar’, the motion being passed unanimously.

Marketing and communication workshops

Torrox Council has organised a series of workshops for the business sector relating to new tools for marketing and communication. The workshops will take place on September 20th, 27th and 28th and those interested in participating can register at the Centro Guadalinfo in avenida del Faro.

New series of youth workshops

A new series of youth workshops is set to take place in the Youth Information Centre in calle Cristo, covering such fields as computers, English, French, salsa, massage, hairdressing, drama, aesthetics and more.

Workshops for the 2012/2013 season

The Municipal Centre for Information for Women is offering a total of 73 workshops during the coming season, namely from October 15th to June 30th 2013, covering a wide variety of subjects.

End of workshop season

Around 550 people have attended in the region of 50 workshops held in the period from last September to the end of June 2012 and yesterday there was a gathering at the Giner de los Rios Centre in calle Diputación for the awarding of diplomas.

Workshops in Ronda

The Junta de Andalucía has launched a new initiative in Ronda which will provide employment for one year for 24 people currently registered as unemployed.
