A 29 year old woman in Barcelona became the third domestic violence fatality in Spain within twenty-four hours, allegedly stabbed to death by her partner.
The incident occurred at midday in calle Comte Borrell in the Eixample district of Barcelona. The killer called the police and told them what he had done before using the knife on himself, presumably in an attempt to commit suicide. He is currently in hospital in a serious condition.
Both the attacker and the victim are reported as being Bolivian nationals.
