The government team will propose, and obviously approve, a new motion requesting a meeting to promote the construction of the Health Centre. The previous motion on this subject was way back in August 2013.
The motion calls for a meeting and for the Junta de Andalucia ‘to undertake, immediately, the construction of the new health centre on the plot donated by the City and ensuring the necessary funding’.
Nerja Council has requested meetings with the provincial Health Delegate on a number of occasions but has apparently had no response.
One of the reasons for the new motion is due to the recent changes in responsibilities within the Junta de Andalucia and the Council wants to make sure the new Minister of Equality, Health and Social Affairs, María José Sánchez Rubio, is made aware of the situation.
