Thirteen medals for Cueva de Nerja-UMA

At the Andalucían athletics championships for juniors held at the stadio Iberoamericano in Huelva, local athletes from the Club Nerja de Atletismo,Cueva de Nerja-UMA, came back with thirteen medals including three gold.

The Spanish Junior Athletics Championships took place at the weekend in Calviá, Mallorca, and local lass Lorena Laz was crowned champion in the 400 metres in a time of 56.69 seconds.

More success for Cueva de Nerja-UMA

For the third year in a row, the junior athletes from the Cueva de Nerja-UMA club have been proclaimed champions in both the male and female sections. The Nerja Athletics Club, Cueva de Nerja-Uma, dominated the Andalucían club championships, finishing in first place, in both male and female sections, for the seventh consecutive year. BRONZE FOR NERJA

Fourteen athletes from the Cuevas de Nerja-UVM club participated in the National Indoor Championships at the Luis Puig stadium in Valencia, site of the upcoming World Championships, with Pilar Cortacero taking bronze in the 200 metres.

NERJA ATHLETES OFF TO VALENCIA

Fourteen athletes from the Nerja Caves-UMA team will be participating in the National Indoor Championships to be held at the velodrome Lluis Puig in Valencia. The event is seen as a dress rehearsal for the World Championships which will take place in March at the same venue.
