Preliminary work begins at Burriana

Preliminary work has started to clear the area destined for the new underground car park at Burriana beach. This work includes the diversion of storm drains to ensure that there are no problems when the excavation eventually starts.

Contracts signed for Burriana car park

The Mayor has signed the contract with representatives of the joint venture company (UTE) formed by Sardalla Española, S.A. and Sondeos, Inyecciones y Trabajos Especiales, S.A. for the construction of the underground car park at Burriana, bringing to an end the administrative procedures relating to the bidding process.

Council approves tender process for Burriana car park

The Council has approved the conditions relating to the tender process for the proposed underground parking facility for Burriana beach and these will now be on public display to be used by prospective bidders.

Frigiliana Council negotiating to reopen the car park

Banesto, who foreclosed on the La Cañada del Ingenio car park in Frigiliana after the owners got into financial difficulties, have put the car park up for sale. The Council, in the meantime, is trying to negotiate the reopening of the car park until a suitable buyer can be found.

La Almedina underground car park in Torrox Pueblo, built at a cost of €7 million and opened in December 2008, has accumulated losses of over €1 million and both the Council and the concessionaire are exploring solutions to the situation.
