Hash haul

The Guardia Civil has seized 3,000 kilos of hashish which was being transported along the río Guadalquivir in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz. The officers discovered the dinghy on Wednesday night in an area known as Plancha del Rey and containing  100 bales of hashish weighing 3,000 kilos. The smugglers, however, appear to have swum to shore and evaded capture.

Four tons of hashish seized in Almería

The National Police has seized over four tons of hashish on a remote beach in Almería. An investigation into drugs smuggling in the area, codenamed ‘Operación Odisea’, led to the discovery that a shipment of drugs was due in from Morocco. National Police officers have seized more than 7,000 kilos of hashish in two operations carried out in Cádiz province. A total of five people have so far been arrested and are now enjoying the comforts of prison. Guardia Civil officers in Jaén have arrested four men, all Rumanians and resident in Spain, in connection with drugs trafficking. The men were in possession of 2.6 kilos of hashish which had been divided up into over 10,000 individual packages ready for distribution.

Haul of immigrants and hashish

A total of 19 illegal immigrants, including a young girl, were intercepted in the early hours of this morning along the Cádiz coast. One of the boats was also carrying 173 kilos of hashish. They are the ‘high’ seas after all.

Drugs found on abandoned boat

The Sistema Integrado de Vigilancia Exterior (SIVE) spotted a boat drifting near Corral de Luna beach in Rota, Cádiz, and Guardia Civil officers went to investigate. On board the abandoned vessel they discovered 52 bales of hashish weighing in the region of 1.5 tons.


Two men, a Moroccan and a Portuguese national, have been arrested in Ayamonte and charged with a crime aagainst the public health. The two men had just unloaded their boat and were transferring their cargo, one and a half tons of hashish, to an industrial estate when Guardia Civil officers nabbed them.

2,500 kilo hashish haul in Málaga

The Agencia Tributaria (Tax Office) has seized 2,500 kilos of hashish hidden on board a fishing vessel heading for La Caleta de Vélez.

280 kilos of hashish seized

The Guardia Civil has detained two people suspected of crimes against the public health after they were caught with 280 kilos of hashish.
