Warehouse in Motril destroyed by fire

A fire on the El Vadillo industrial estate in Motril has completely destroyed one warehouse and, at one stage, threatened nearby shops. The fire began at around 03:30 this morning in the warehouse belonging to the toy manufacturer Morón. 40 illegals intercepted near Alborán Sea

A small boat carrying 40 illegal immigrants was intercepted yesterday afternoon after being spotted by a fishing boat about five miles from the Alborán Sea. The Marine Rescue boat ‘Hamal’ escorted the vistors to Motril where the Red Cross gave them the once over. All were apparently in good health.

34 illegal immigrants intercepted off Granada coast

Thirty-four North African immigrants, including one woman, were intercepted yesterday about 25 miles south of Motril. All are said to be in good health apart from a few bruises here and there.
