Vagrant arrested on suspicion of murder
National Police officers in Cádiz have detained a 54 year old vagrant, a German national, on suspicion of being the killer of a 71 year old man whose body was found at his home on August 4th.
Son confesses to killing his mother and brother in Madrid
Police have detained the eldest son of Maria Estela Espinosa Ruiz, the woman who was found dead yesterday, along with her six month old son, at her home in Retiro, Madrid.
Possible double homicide
In Madrid, firefighters were called to a house in calle Luis Mitjans in the Retiro district at around 16:15 on Tuesday after receiving reports of a large amount of smoke emanating from the building.
Double murder in Burgos
A 27 year old woman has been detained in Vitoria as the alleged killer of her 67 year old mother and 3 year old son in Burgos. The two bodies were found in different locations in Burgos where the accused had been living.
Alleged killers sent to jail
Two men detained in connection with the death of a man in calle Pacifico, Málaga, on Wednesday have been sent to prison without bail.
Robbers detained
National Police officers have detained two men in connection with a robbery and fatal shooting which occurred at the Las Tres Culturas bar in Córdoba on March 22nd 2009. The two detainees, both only 21 years of age, have a long record of crime with, between them, 35 arrests for robbery with violence. Both have several court cases pending.
The Marta del Castillo case
The girlfriend of the youth accused of murdering teenager Marta del Castillo has been in court and has confirmed that the accused, Miguel Carcaño, confessed his involvement to her the following morning.
Murder suspect detained in Huelva
National Police officers in Huelva have arrested a 48 year old Portuguese national believed to be responsible for the death of a 53 year old woman whose body was found at their home on February 23rd. The detainee, initials A.F.G., has a prior criminal record.
