Following a busy summer season and the end of the feria, during which times one was almost falling over bag sellers and other street vendors, the Local Police have now launched a special ‘campaign’ to crack down on such activities.
The campaign will involve officers patrolling the streets in plain clothes. Local Police reportedly seized a number of counterfeit items being sold during the feria.
There have been regular annual ‘campaigns’, usually lasting a few days, during which time the street vendors are conspicuous by their absence. Once the campaign is over, they tend to return in droves.
