Paraglider rescued in Granada
A paraglider who managed to get tangled in power lines 80 metres above ground in Cenes de la Vega, Granada, has been rescued and is in good health despite his ordeal. Several people alerted the authorities to the plight of the pàraglider who had suffered several shocks. A crane was used in the rescue.
Rio Chillar rescue
Civil Protection officers carried out the rescue on Wednesday of a man who suffered a fall and lost consciousness during a walking trip up the rio Chillar. The man, a 59 year old from Madrid, was accompanied on the trip by his wife.
Mountaineers rescued in Vall d’Ebo, Alicante
Firemen have now rescued all the mountaineers from the Barranco del Infierno in Vall d’Ebo, Alicante. The rescue mission began on Friday after one of the party, a young climber from Ondara, died while canyoning in the area.
